Picasso’s Le Chant des Morts at MoMA

This collaboration between Picasso and Riverdy skirts the definition of a book, which actually is why it’s so wonderful. With 125 pages of handwritten texts by the poet and lithographic illustrations of abstract orange brushstrokes by Picasso, Le Chant des Morts (The Song of the Dead), is one of the largest books both the artists ever produced. In wake of WWII, it was published in 1948.

You can see the whole collection at MoMA  or read more and watch a presentation about it.
